Longjing tea was originally mentioned by the author of the Tea Classic,
Lu Yu, during the Northern Song Dynasty. Its history can be traced back
to the Southern and Northern Dynasties period. The development of
Longjing tea has gone through multiple stages, including its initial
formation during the Northern Song Dynasty, further development
during the Southern Song Dynasty, its emergence during the Yuan Dynasty,
its widespread reputation during the Ming Dynasty, and its emergence as
a famous tea variety during the Qing Dynasty.
In addition, the characteristics and quality of Longjing tea are influenced
by natural conditions such as the soil, climate, and altitude of its origin.
